Sustainability isn’t at the top of everyone’s travel list, but you’re not like other people. And we’re not like other stays.

Like you, we’re committed to ensuring people can experience Melbourne not just for a good time, but for a long time too.

Just like the city we call home, we’re proudly putting our best foot forward when it comes to Melbourne sustainability. At Rambla @ Solarino House, we opt for more sustainable facilities, amenities and services that only elevate your stay.

Stroll into Sustainable Living at Rambla @ Solarino House

We get it, you don’t want to compromise on enjoying Melbourne. That’s why we don’t compromise on giving our guests the most relaxing, convenient, and sustainable stay possible.

We’re living proof that hotels and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Communal Rooftop Herb Garden: Taste the Goodness

An olive tree on the Rambla @ Solarino House communal rooftop overlooking Melbourne

Melbourne is famous for its food, but not every day is about eating out. When you’re ready to have a relaxing day or night in, our communal rooftop herb garden is bursting with flavours for you to add to your home cooking.

Go on, help yourself to our blossoming herb and fruit trees any time of year.

Rooftop Self-Composting System: Green from the Top Down

We don’t want you to waste a minute enjoying Melbourne, and we won’t waste a scrap while you do. Our communal rooftop is more than just a great space to hang out, we also have the perfect place for you to dispose of your food scraps.

Unlike other short stays in Melbourne, we encourage you to enjoy your kitchen and apartment without having to deal with the smell of scraps afterwards. It's a win for you, and a win for our environment.

Digital Check-in: Get Straight in to It

One of the biggest upgrades we’ve made to your Rambla @ Solarino House stay is digital check-in. While it may seem small, by using a paperless process we’re not only saving you time, we’re saving trees and reducing waste.

Who Gives a Crap: We Do

We don’t want our environment in Melbourne to go down the toilet, so we’re helping to save it with every flush. Every stay at Rambla @ Solarino House uses Who Gives a Crap toilet paper – made 100% recycled paper helping to reduce deforestation.

Additionally, Who Gives a Crap is also dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation to millions of people across the world.

Happy flushing!

Sustainable Shower Amenities: Keeping the Earth Clean

While you’re cleaning yourself, you’re also helping to keep our Earth clean too.

In your Rambla bathroom, we use Australian-made Peter Morrissey products that are bottled in fully recyclable packaging in a process that reduces waste and carbon emissions. The world is feeling cleaner already.

Weekly Housekeeping: Clean and Green

We love providing homes away from home for our guests, but with that added hospitality sparkle.

We adopt sustainable housekeeping practices to give you the comfort and cleanliness you expect from a stay, while  minimising resource wastage like water, power, and plastic.

If you’d like an extra service top up during your stay, just let us know and we’ll be there for a small extra fee.
